In the far reaches of Northern Nariño, Jose Omar Bolaños has produced coffee on his farm, El Roble (the oak), since 2012. In the past, coffee of this region has been collected by intermediary buyers, known as coyotes, where cash in hand leads to lower prices for high quality. By working with FUDAM, a producer association, members have incentives to step away from the coyotes. Grown at 2000m, processed by manual de-pulper, and dried on site. Jose has most recently invested in a better system to treat wastewater and only uses organic fertilizers.
All sales are non-refundable and final. All coffee is roasted fresh to order every Thursday and every Monday. Online orders are shipped or delivered the following day.
