We source our decaf through Royal Coffee, who handles the logistics of lot selection and decaffeinating. This coffee was grown in the Cajamarca region of Peru, by the CENFROCAFE cooperative of farmers. The co-op was founded in 1999, and has since expanded its membership by tenfold. The bulk of the coffee comes from small farms owned and operated indigenous people following organic practices. Producers typically cultivate on a few acres intercropped with shade trees, bananas, corn and beans.
