Mae Kha Jahn is located in the Chiang Rai Province of Northern Thailand. Farmers here are on average 25-35 years old, and coffee farming is profitable and attractive to young entrepreneurs due to opium eradication and subsequent reforesting. They grow coffee high in the mountains, begin processing on their own farms and dry the crop on raised bamboo beds. Next, the crop is further sorted and packed at the Beanspire mill. Thailand has a vibrant coffee and café culture, where producers can enjoy their own coffee.
